PBIS
At Del Paso Heights Elementary, we use Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports (PBIS) to support student learning and development. PBIS is a decision-making framework that guides selection, integration, and implementation of the best evidence-based behavioral practices for improving important academic and behavioral outcomes for all students.
It is a multi-tiered system of support (MTSS) developed to promote positive, safe, and supportive school climates for ALL students by clearly identifying positive behavioral expectations and explicitly teaching the desired behaviors to students.
This is our behavioral flow chart for how behaviors are managed at school.

Del Paso Heights Elementary school is focused on helping students learn to be safe, respectful, and responsible citizens. We do this by teaching expected behaviors for each location/activity within our school using a behavior matrix. Please see our PBIS Behavior Matrix below.
